Hi. I’m Debi Bailey, Parent Coach and Parent Educator for parents of teens. 
I am the mother of three grown children. They are three of my very favorite people ever. They have grown into the kind of people that I want to have as friends. They have chosen wonderful partners who add love and laughter to the mix.
I am also the grandmother of an amazing and wonderful young boy whose name is Bailey. My daughter-in-law came with the added bonus of her son Jack.
Raising teenagers was my favorite part of parenting. I loved to watch them becoming the people they would grow into.
Being a teenager is a challenging and vulnerable stage in life. When my children were teens I decided that I wanted to work with teenagers to support them through these vitally important changes. Then I realized that the person those teens really wanted in their lives was not me, but YOU…their own parent. When I support parents, I can create the opportunity for parents to be that point of connection for their kids.
During the past 9 years I have worked with parents in private practice and as a contracted provider with the State of Washington. State work provided me with an opportunity to work with families and children in a wide variety of ages, with a wide variety of issues. I have worked extensively with the parents of at risk youth.
I love the work that I do with parents to help them re-think the way they want to parent their children. I am inspired by their commitment to their children and by the courage I see as parents transform their relationships with their kids.
I live in my home town, Olympia Washington where I have lived for most of my life. I grew up here in Olympia, sailing and swimming, which has given me an enduring love for Puget Sound. I appreciate this community and all that it has to offer. I love being in, on or around Puget Sound with its beautiful surrounding forests where I go for reflection and renewal.

Toni and I grew up just North of you in Steilacoom. I had a owned and ran a business on the water at the south tip of Anderson Island selling bait, pop, ice cream and sandwiches from 1964 to 1969 in the summers. I wonder if I knew you when we were young.
